ABOUT
Sina Mosharraf, known professionally as A-Sean, is a Los Angeles–based music producer and rapper currently studying Music at El Camino College. He creates music that combines Electronic Dance Music with Hip-Hop elements to express his personal experiences and cultural identity and emotional depth. A-Sean developed his musical style through his life experience of growing up in Iran and the United Arab Emirates which exposed him to various cultures while he believed that music should be used as both artistic expression and healing tool.
A-Sean's journey into music production started in 2009. By 2011, he'd secured his first record deal, courtesy of the German label D.Max Recordings, thanks to his track "iPower." This was the launchpad for his professional career. He followed up with a string of releases, including ‘Wasted Life,’ ‘Dreaming,’ ‘Lost,’ and ‘Psychopath’. In 2016, he broadened his scope, teaming up with new labels. He released ‘When God Cries,’ and later, his track ‘Leaving’ climbed the charts, hitting the Top 10 on Beatport’s trance and electronica/downtempo charts, released under Verse Recordings.
In 2018, he released his first EP ‘Isolation’, created during one of the most difficult periods of his life while battling cancer. Facing the possibility that these could be his final works, the project reflects a deeply personal and emotional chapter in his life. Now he is cancer-free, and continues his artistic journey with more passion.
He relocated to Los Angeles for full dedication to his artistic and academic objectives after completing his immigration process which extended beyond twelve years in August 2024. Now he is focusing on Music Therapy at El Camino College, while he creates and shares his latest music projects. The musician released two short albums in 2025. ‘Scarchest’ is his first work which consists of seven instrumental electronic tracks that explore themes about the transformation process and the ambition to establish a new life in America. The concept uses the scar as an identity element which links cancer surgery with his emotional experiences. The musician created ‘LAX’ as a three-track concept album which shows his three stages of migration from his home country to the airport and finally to his new life in Los Angeles.
A-Sean creates music which blends emotional content with energetic musical elements by using Western electronic music and Persian traditional music as his primary sources. He produces music while creating Persian rap songs which he performs to connect different cultures and share his personal experiences with a broader audience. A-Sean dedicates his life to developing a music therapy profession while he pursues his artistic work. He aims to help individuals facing emotional challenges by using music as a tool for expression, healing, and personal growth. His belief about music as a bridge between emotion, identity, and healing develops through his experiences with different cultures.
